Thought I'd Join Courtney and Tracey today for Self Portrait Tuesday, seeing as Emmy sneaked a couple of pictures of me yesterday... Doesn't happen that often I usually dodge the camera pretty well:)



Out in the garden with Nola yesterday.



Watching over the watering of the veggie garden, some acrobatics on the trampoline and a little rabbit who loves to burrow in my flower beds :)



Messy morning hair :) But somehow I still like it.

Some Happy Things...

• tilly's feet wiggling cosy

• In the tent " like the girl with the yellow dog's tent" while watching that very same film dressed up as a ballerina and a pirate... of course :)

• Honey oatmeal muffins... for teatime treat in tent.

• Dessert... by Boo

• My daily dose of sunshine on gray Autumn days.

• That Wildflower who forever teaches me more than I ever teach her :)

• Delicate glimpses of beauty in the midst of a stuggling day

• Matilda's Autumn bouquet of gathered gold from our sycamore tree

• Seraphina's Autumn treasures collected in her scarf from the park with Daddy

• Games played with homemade knitted animals and their own sewn felt food

• Two spoonfuls of organic honey, a good squeeze and two slices of lemon, two slices of ginger steeped in hot hot water. Perfect comfort for Autumn coughs and colds.

• My heart resting right here.

A Soulful Summer...

THANKFUL for a soulful of memories from the past few months...




We found this prayful little spot hidden among the trees...




We wandered along pathways new...



They whispered their secrets and we stopped to take in every word...



We climbed higher and sought distant horizons...



And those wonders right under our noses... that can be so easy to miss!




We reconnected with those we hold dearest to our hearts...





Played endless chase, tag and hide and seek...






Kept our balance on the wobbliest days.




Let beauty embrace... and sunlight heal and tend each growing plant...



To guide our steps along the way...

"Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths."
Psalm 119:105



Some of us thought we might even be real life mermaids!
"...When I grow up I want a fishes tail..."






Sometimes we took some time alone...







We followed the sun... Wise fellow that he is :)



And only ever got lost...



When we wanted to.



Sometimes simply sitting in our own garden was enough...



Sometimes adventure called...

Building...

Knitting the threads together... into water tight memories...

Of togetherness.



That carries us safe along all kinds of waters...



Out into the world...through the tumult and the storm, the blue sky promises of tomorrow...



...back to the gentle streams of home.



...For don't all waters flow that way eventually?

... all those sepia stained images that will become like old friends in the years to come, as the children grow up and away... to build their own little rafts and find their own stars to navigate.
