I have never heard of Janet and Jane before and now must see if I can find copies here. I do have several old Dick and Jane books [that I remember learning to read with] that I've been saving for the wee one. Your cardigan is just beautiful Suzy, I love the pattern and the yarn.
Gorgeous cardigan! I only know the Janet & John books by reputation, but it's definitely the case that many older things were really good and I can't understand why they've been put aside to be replaced by rubbishy but more modern things. How lovely to see your children discovering reading.
what a gorgeous last picture of your little wildflower! i love her dress too. the janet and john books must be from the u.k. - oh originally american - i had to wikipedia it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_and_John i'll keep these in mind for my boy...
I treasure each and every one of your comments. Your kind words never fail to bring a smile to my face:) At the moment I am going through a busy season of life with 5 girls under my wing! I may not always be able to respond immediately but please know that every word left here is read and appreciated deeply. xx

the cardigan is so sweet--and such a beautiful colour; for "wildflower"?? she'll look like a princess in it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful pattern. Truly lovely! I've never heard of Janet and John but they look amazing. I love older children's books too. :)
