Soulfood Friday

This week I have two very different but equally inspiring short films to share with you.
The first film deeply moved me. Having a dog, I understand well the bond humans and animals can share. When you are vulnerable and homeless however, the unconditional love of a dog can become a life line.  The second film is from the highly acclaimed feature length movie "Baraka." Depicting scenes of dawn from around the world and it is my favourite part of this amazing movie.

Have a peaceful and soulful weekend :)

Where everything is music...:

Every Friday I'll be pausing to notice something from the week that has nourished my soul.

A special, sacred-everyday moment captured on camera, or perhaps a snippet from a book, a recipe still warm from the kitchen or something whimsical that simply made me smile.

Here are a few simple things that have fed my soul this week.

What has inspired/fed/nourished your soul this week friends?

  2. I love the Rumi quote. I often feel that when I am on the beach just before sunset

  3. Great movies! In 90tis was a time, as I lived by the homeless, I well know, what the dogs are for the people. (normally I don't like dogs very much, have a cat, she is moresimiliar and familiar with me, but I adore the dogs of the homeless, I know so many...)
    Have a nice weekend

  4. I didn't look at the first film as I am sure I would get emotional over it. But I loved the second especially the monkey in the hot spring - a bit like me in the bath in the mornings. haha. It all looked very tranquil and serene.
