We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
~Thornton Wilder
Garden beauty...
Delicate
Fragile.
Inhaling,
Exhaling...
moments...
dappled in light...
The illumination that awakens quiet corners...
Sometimes dark corners...
Letting it warm through my bones,
thoughts,
prayers...
Realigning the paths.
Till they face the light like the childish dandelion.
So called clown flower
Perpetual "perfect"lawn invader.
Apparent weed.
Brightest bloom on the block.
Luminous beacon.
REAL beauty.
If there was only one dandelion left on the earth.
I might just say it's the most beautiful flower ever.
Perspective.
Noticing.
Blessings are abundant when I put my ear to the soft earth and listen to the whisper of God deep inside my soul.
"Blessed are the single-hearted, for they shall enjoy much peace. If you refuse to be hurried and pressed, if you stay your soul on God, nothing can keep you from that clearness of spirit which is life and peace. In that stillness you will know what His will is." ~ Amy Carmicheal
Beautiful, Suzy, and YES. So much Yes spilling out of me right now!
ReplyDeleteI love the slowing down too, so much. Then the noticing, the Finding! I love the clarity and joy that comes when you look, and See.
YES.
I love that we are on such similar journeys, dear friend! I love those sweet child faces, those Always flowers (to petals, to earth, to flowers again), and I love that If-it-were-last dandelion. Beautiful. Thank you, Suzy, so much :)
What a lovely post! Thank you for reminding me to revel in the beauty God sets before me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and the truth of these words resonate in me. They are 'secrets' that I too have discovered along the way, they make this life a joy to live. :) Your photographs are indeed lovely. :)
ReplyDelete"Beyond the veils of language and the noise of activity, the most profound events of our lives take place in those fleeting moments where something else shines through, something that can never be fixed in language, something given as quietly as the gift of your next breath."
