{Yarn Along} ...

Joining Ginny for another Yarn Along today!
I am not getting along as fast as I hoped with Fina's sweater. I've only managed to knit halfway up the front since last week but we've had so many Christmas inspired projects on the go it's little wonder it has stalled a little!

To be honest I find once advent begins we settle into a far slower rhythm.

There is just something about the cold drizzly days that make me want to do nothing but snuggle under blankets, light a few candles, read stories such as this lovely series found linked @ Bending Birches...

Craft decorations, cards, secret gifts and drink lots of warm tea and cocoa!

  1. that sweater looks great. Life sometimes get in the way of knitting time but thats fun too:)weve also been enjoying those st. nicholas stories

  2. This is such a busy time of year and I find it hard to fit everything in, but the crafts are always so fun.
I do know what you mean about embracing the ups and downs with wee ones and tryhing to hang on to them. It all just goes by too fast! I miss cosleeping with my babies [the youngest is 14 and as tall as his Daddy]!
I hope you have a lovely day!

  3. The sweater looks great, even if it feels to be slow going. Keep up the good work!

  4. Wow, your sweater is coming along so beautifully. I agree with embracing the ups and downs better now. When I was a new mom 19 years ago my patience was quite small compared to now. My baby (3 years old) has definitely gotten the best of me and my older kids comment all the time how she gets away with alot more than they ever did lol. Enjoy your snuggly little one.

  5. The sweater is looking great, and I look forward to seeing some of your other crafts :) Snuggling under blankets with stories and candles sounds like a wonderful way to spend advent to me ;)

  6. I don't know if the color in that photograph is true to form, but I LOVE the deep purpl-y blue of your sweater. It's like an inky 9 o'clock sky.

  7. can't wait to see the sweater finished! and oh i know wanting to do nothing but snuggling under blankets, lighting candles and reading. that is so me.

  8. Oh my gosh!!! I am astonished. I clicked on this post thinking, "I will have to get the details so I can order that book, I really must have a copy." Wow, I can't thank you enough! I'll be in touch!

  9. The sweater is lovely and I agree about cold rainy days, those days are for tea and snuggling :).

I treasure each and every one of your comments.
Your kind words never fail to bring a smile to my face:)
At the moment I am going through a busy season of life with 5 girls under my wing! I may not always be able to respond immediately but please know that every word left here is read and appreciated deeply.
