WE FOUND FLORENCE!!!
Well if truth be told, she found us :)
The girls went out in the garden after lunch and they came in the house frantically reporting that they could hear the most pitiful miaowing coming from our neighbours hedge.
When I rushed outside it was indeed true.
Peering through the dense conifer I saw two sad little green eyes and the furious swishing of a rather indignant and it has to be said undignified tail.
Poor Florence.
Florence had certainly wedged herself firmly in the hedge.
How she managed to do this I may never know this side of heaven.
She was probably chasing something or running away from something...
She couldn't have been there long as we were calling all along the hedge yesterday and this morning rattling her favourite treat box as we went.
Florence would never turn down a treat. She is quite the diva.
Well Emmy gallantly strode into the hedge and pulled the poor damsel free.
You have never heard a louder purr in your life!
We poured out a saucer of cream for her and piled her bowl high with her favourite food.
It was gone in seconds.
Just as I thought Princess Florence isn't the sort of cat who catches her own dinner :)
Well she's absolutely fine I'm pleased to report, apart from the odd bit of garden debris in her fur.
The girls as you can imagine are ecstatic! And have promised to the moon and back that their tail pulling days are over ;)
And after all that dismal mewing she quickly returned to her old nonchalant *talk to the tail* self :)
And you know, I wouldn't have her any other way.
Hooray! Thanks for letting us know x.
ReplyDeleteshe is such a pretty cat! i am so happy she survived her "adventure" out of doors and found her way home :)
ReplyDeleteif she could only talk and tell you all about it...
Very glad indeed to hear this good news!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! i am so happy for your family suzy.
ReplyDeletePHEW! I'm very happy for all of you, not least Florence.
ReplyDeleteYay, yay, YAY! And I'm giggling at the "talk to the tail". Oh, yes, cats are a delight...in all of their colourful moods.
ReplyDeleteSo glad she is back where she belongs!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, her absence just made you appreciate her all the more. That was probably her plan all along... ;) So glad she's safe and sound and back home again. :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! That's wonderful news, Suzy. You and the girls must be feeling so light now after those days of worry. Maybe you should pour yourselves a nice big bowl of cream, too, to celebrate! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear that she is back home!
ReplyDeleteHooray! I whispered a little prayer that she would return. Our dear kitty Nuit went missing for nine days. Just when we had given up hope, he returned, a few pounds lighter, but otherwise in good health. Happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she's back!!
